Prototype-Volume
PRECISION MICRO has developed a variety of complementary manufacturing technologies in order to meet all customers’ demands from samples and prototypes to high volume requirements, with economy and efficiency. Micro Machining is a highly precise manufacturing technology best suited to low to medium volume, high precision component manufacture. Wire Erosion is ideal for samples, prototypes, small volumes and laminates (where several sheets can be layered together and profiled at the same time). Photo Etching, having no hard tooling requirements, is ideal for rapid turn-round, low to medium volume requirements and in many instances is used to meet high volume requirements until press tooling is produced. Photo Etching is ideal for producing high volumes of small complex parts as the process cost is virtually unaffected by the complexity of the components being produced. | 3Dpc is PRECISION MICRO’s answer to the manufacture of small to medium volumes of three dimensional components. It uses low cost, readily available tooling for speed and cost saving and makes 3D prototypes an economical proposition. Electroforming meets similar volume requirements to Photo etching but is capable of meeting tighter tolerances. PRECISION MICRO undertakes Volume Photo Etching in a separate automated facility, providing customers with an economical alternative to precision pressing for high production requirements. |
