Precision Micro Defies Credit Crunch
While many manufacturing companies are blaming the credit crunch for lack of orders, a Birmingham manufacturer is seeing the positive side of the situation.
Precision component manufacturer Precision Micro is experiencing record order intake for a combination of reasons as Anthony Marrett explained.
" Our enhanced technical capabilities enable Precision Micro to successfully tackle projects that many of our competitors struggle to carry out. As a result, we have seen a steady increase in order intake since the relocation to our new, purpose-built manufacturing facility last year.
During hard times, many customers also re-evaluate their sourcing policy to ensure that they are achieving optimum value for money. The result of this has been a further increase in business for Precision Micro as customers seek more cost effective solutions combined with dependability."
Precision Micro’s new 44,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant is focussed on providing a better, more efficient and more cost effective service for customers. The adoption of state-of-the-art technology is claimed to have taken the photo-etching process to new levels of efficiency, precision and repeatability.
"Our decision to invest heavily in what is undoubtedly the most advanced etching plant in Europe has been vindicated by the increase in business we have seen," continued Marrett. "We are confident that this can be attributed to our increased efficiency and our dramatic improvement in technical performance capabilities."
To manage this business increase the Company has employed two further highly experienced Technical Sales and Support Managers in recent months; one based in Belgium and the other servicing the UK market… further indication that business is booming for the Midlands based manufacturing operation.
