At a recent European Exhibition, several visitors to the Precision Micro stand were impressed with the wide variety of components on display but concluded that parts of such high quality must necessarily be expensive. Nothing could be further from the truth as we were keen to explain.

Thanks to astute investment in a state-of-the-art purpose built photo etching facility Precision Micro is able to provide the highest quality product at value for money prices. As the largest independent photo etching operation in Europe, we are able to enjoy economies of scale and pass on the benefits to our customer.

We can supply all volume requirements from individual prototypes to many millions of parts, in a time scale measured in days and to the tightest tolerances. High precision components are manufactured using low cost digital and modular tooling. This gives the designer the flexibility to optimise his design throughout the prototype stage without incurring prohibitive cost penalties associated with press tooling.

Digital tooling also takes complexity out of the equation as the intricacy of a component is not reflected in the cost of digital tooling whereas with hard press tooling the smaller and more complex the design, the higher the tooling cost.

For some years now, over 30% of the Company’s business has been in export markets… largely mainland Europe, the Americas and the Far East. We have always considered this to be as a result of our high levels of service, quality and value.
